Freestanding bathtub for a small bathroom
It seems that a freestanding bathtub will not work well in small bathrooms. Modern construction has been struggling with a small size for years, hence there are often statements that planning a comfortable shower will be a better solution. Nothing could be more wrong. It is only a matter of our preferences and the specificity of the interior.
[KAT-ID-2]
It is considered that a freestanding bathtub takes up a lot of space, which is very valuable in small spaces. Sometimes it is just harder to install. Looking through the offer of modern models of free-standing bathtubs, we can see that they are from 100 to 140 cm long and approx. 65-75 cm wide. Importantly, you can also buy them in irregular shapes.
The small space of the bathroom is therefore not a problem for a free-standing bathtub to be installed in it. However, good space planning is important as poorly planned can make a room cramped with no particular style.
Which freestanding bathtub to choose?
When deciding on a free-standing bathtub for the bathroom, let's prepare its design in advance, so as to bring out the functionality of the room in the best possible way. Let's start with an accurate measurement of the interior, including any bends. All the angles should be well managed. Once we know how much free space we have, we can start planning. Let's establish a leading style, forgetting about the "good advice" that the washbasin should be in front of the entrance. A small bathroom, therefore, does not rule out the possibility of having a free-standing bathtub. Especially the retro freestanding bathtub will be perfect for smaller interiors. Its choice, however, depends on individual preferences.
Recommended
When designing bathroom equipment, it is worth remembering the following:
- 0.8 x 1 m wide at the wash basin,
- 0.7 x 1 m by the toilet,
- 0.5 m in front of a shower or bathtub,
- 1 m in front of the front loading washing machine,
- 1 m in front of the cupboard that opens to the front.
A well-thought-out bathroom design is the basis.
Which freestanding bathtub for a small bathroom?
Below, we have selected the most frequently purchased free-standing bathtubs that can easily fit into a small bathroom
- RAVEN GLADIO freestanding bathtub
The Ravon Gladiolo freestanding bathtub is a rectangular model on the outside, with a specially profiled interior to ensure a comfortable position during bathing. Takes up a small space: 170x75x58.
- Freestanding bathtub LAZIO
The Ravon Lazio freestanding bathtub is made of high-quality acrylic. This model is similar in size to the previous one (171 x 74 x 58 cm). The only difference is the external shape.
- Freestanding bathtub ELISIUM
If you want to take a bath with plenty of water, choose the ELISIUM freestanding bathtub (171x71x68cm). It is a product made in the innovative Qualtec composite technology, thanks to which the water stays warm longer.
The free-standing bathtubs proposed above should be placed along one wall, so as to leave access to three other sides, which will also facilitate cleaning.
We can also opt for corner bathtubs, but we do not recommend them for small rooms, because they take up more space than those in the classic version.
A free-standing bathtub in a small bathroom does not have to be a luxury reserved only for those who have a larger room. On the basis of the above-mentioned products, we can choose the right style that matches our preferences.
